Get in the game with the Pleasant Dale Park District 3rd Grade Boys NFL FLAG Football League! This exciting, non-contact youth flag football program offers young athletes a fun and accessible introduction to America’s most popular sport—without the tackles. Backed by the official NFL FLAG program, this league focuses on building football fundamentals, boosting confidence, and promoting a strong sense of community.

Players will be coached by dedicated volunteer parents who emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development while ensuring every participant has a blast on the field. Athletes learn key concepts such as passing, receiving, running plays, defensive positioning, and game strategy—all in an age-appropriate environment designed for first-time players and returning football fans alike.

Players will have a recurring weeknight practice and games on Sunday mornings, giving families a predictable, easy-to-schedule weekend activity and players a chance to showcase their new skills in friendly competition.

Each participant will receive an official NFL FLAG uniform as part of registration, helping them feel like a pro from day one. Age groups may be combined if necessary to ensure balanced teams and the best possible player experience.

Baseball registration deadline is Sunday, May 10th. All players registered by the official registration deadline will receive a team uniform and hat from their coach on or before the first day of games. Participants registering after the deadline will be subject to a $20 late registration fee, will not be allowed buddy requests, and will be placed on teams strictly based on roster availability. Late registrants will not be guaranteed a uniform by the start of the season. Late registration will remain open until the start of the season OR until the program has reached capacity.

We are unable to accept requests for specific coaches or practice times on any registrations. Practices will be on weeknights between 4-7pm, and are based on volunteer coach preference and availability. Players that cannot attend their team’s scheduled practice will be offered the opportunity to practice with another team at a more convenient time.

NOTE: One properly completed buddy request will be honored per participant (See program guide for "Buddy Request Rules").
