Step up to the plate with the Pleasant Dale Park District Coach-Pitch Baseball League for 1st–2nd graders! This fun, beginner-friendly youth baseball program is the perfect next step for young players ready to advance from T-Ball while continuing to build confidence and a love for the game.

Designed for early elementary athletes, the Coach-Pitch League introduces players to hitting pitched balls, base running, throwing, catching, and strategic game play. Volunteer parent coaches guide each session with an emphasis on encouragement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun—no prior baseball experience required!

Teams will practice once per week to develop skills and team chemistry, then take the field for Saturday morning games where players can put their new abilities into action in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Every child gets ample opportunities to participate, improve, and enjoy the excitement of baseball while staying active and making friends.

Uniforms and official MLB/Minor League hats are included with registration, so your young athlete will feel like part of the team from day one.

Baseball registration deadline is Sunday, May 10th. All players registered by the official registration deadline will receive a team uniform and hat from their coach on or before the first day of games. Participants registering after the deadline will be subject to a $20 late registration fee, will not be allowed buddy requests, and will be placed on teams strictly based on roster availability. Late registrants will not be guaranteed a uniform by the start of the season. Late registration will remain open until the start of the season OR until the program has reached capacity.

We are unable to accept requests for specific coaches or practice times on any registrations. Practices will be on weeknights between 4-7pm, and are based on volunteer coach preference and availability. Players that cannot attend their team’s scheduled practice will be offered the opportunity to practice with another team at a more convenient time.

NOTE: One properly completed buddy request will be honored per participant (See program guide for "Buddy Request Rules").
